Modify VASA replication groups
VMware vVols enables data replication, snapshots, and encryption to be controlled at the VMDK level instead of the LUN level, where these data services are performed on a per VM (application level) basis from the storage system.
Prerequisites
- The storage system must be running PowerMaxOS 5978 Q3 2020 or later.
About this task
To modify a replication group:
Steps
- Select the storage system.
- Select Storage > vVol Dashboard.
- Click Replication Groups.
- Optional: Select a replication group and click Modify.
- Select a different local port, remote port, or both.
- Optional: Click Advanced Options, modify the link limbo period for the local and remote links, click the Software Compression and Hardware Compression checkboxes, and click OK.

Do one of the following:
- Click Run Now to perform the operation now.
- Expand Run Now and click Add to Job List to add this task to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see Schedule jobs and Preview jobs.
